The limited and very collectible set from COBI presents a historical event, the so-called "Forgotten Parade". The Victory Parade in Berlin, organized on the initiative of the Soviet Union, took place on September 7, 1945. This event was actually an excuse to present the latest Soviet IS-3 heavy tank to the world. The latest achievement of Soviet engineering was expected to terrify the Allies. Four countries took part in the parade, represented by high-ranking military officials. They were Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov, General George S. Patton of the United States, General Brian Robertson of Great Britain and General Marie-Pierre Kœnig of France.
The IS-3 Berlin Victory Parade 1945 Limited Set includes a huge dose of military history and technology:
- A sensational model of the IS-3 heavy tank designed on a scale of 1:28
- A brick tank engine that can be placed in the vehicle or displayed next to the model on a special stand with a plaque
- A block honorary tribune with space for figures and prints of national flags
- Four flagpoles with flags of the countries taking part in the victory parade
- Four figures of military representatives taking part in the victory parade
- A black laser-engraved plate containing the name of the tank and events, the scale of the model and the individual number of the Limited Edition set
- A paper certificate with the handwritten signature of the COBI CEO containing the individual Limited Edition number, the same as on the engraved plate
The IS-3 block tank was designed on a scale of 1:28 and imitates the extremely characteristic rounded shapes of its inspiration. The model, consisting of over 1,100 elements is 35.5cm long when built. Under the removable turret there are reproduced interior elements. A brick replica of the V-11 tank engine can be placed under the service hatch. There are also bricks with periscopes printed on the turret. The very detailed shapes of the tank have been reproduced using the latest elements created for the COBI Historical Collection! And the tracks work while moving the tank. The turret also rotates and the barrel raises and lowers!
The real IS-3 tank was created as a response to German heavy tanks. The block model will look great on a shelf alongside the largest German and American vehicles from the COBI Historical Collection!
The Limited Edition from COBI is available only in official COBI stores and is intended for mature fans of history and military technology.
Collectible figures of historical icons complete the set and present the history of this somewhat forgotten first public presentation of the IS-3 tank. The presence of officers in the set is not an expression of political views but is intended to place the tank model in the historical context of this event. Build history, piece by piece, with COBI.
