Who wants the COBI Limited Editions? Collectors do, that’s for sure.

Over the years COBI has created some of the most unique and inspiring building block sets anyone has ever seen. From the advent of the historically and visually accurate World War II tanks, through the introduction of the extremely popular battleships and aircraft carriers all the way to current and the new and fantastic automobiles and licensed products, COBI has continued to grow and diversify as a brand as well. And during that time many, many sets have become the stuff of toy legend, but probably none more so than the unique and exclusive COBI Limited Edition sets. Not only do the LEs come with wonderful added features and exclusive figures, but each one contains individually numbered plaques and a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the captain of the COBI ship and inspired toy genius, Robert Podles.

I know this, though, a lot of people ask me if they should get the Limited Editions or simply go for the regular version. Well, that’s actually a pretty good question. Ask yourself this, do I simply want the set itself, or is there something unique and exciting about the COBI Limited Editions for me? Well, for my part I can say this: as a collector who always wants the most unique pieces with as many exclusive and historically accurate elements as possible, I will almost inevitably go with the LEs. And, really, for the small price difference there really isn’t another option in my mind. In the case of the upcoming Yamato, do I really need the COA, individually numbered plaque and the exclusive Yamamoto figure? In this case (and almost every other similar one) the answer is a definitive yes. I love my COBI sets, and the more unique the better, so I’m going with the Limited Edition. J

So to answer the question I will simply say this: if you love the history, the historical details and the uniqueness of COBI sets, then seriously consider the Limited Editions. Not only do you get the tank, plane or ship you’ve been waiting for, but you also get a coveted collector’s item that will be even more full of fun, detail and the history that makes COBI’s Historical Collection and licensed sets so enjoyable to build and collect!
